I have a very distinct memory of myself as a kid sitting in my parent’s basement on this crazy fire-engine red carpet watching one of those oversized tube televisions. My older brother and I were flipping through the channels when we stumbled upon a show that described unexplained things and purported real-life monsters. As a kid, the idea of real-life monsters was completely intoxicating and I was immediately hooked. The show was In Search of…. with Leonard Nimoy and the episode was Bigfoot.

The idea of Sasquatch is as old as the hills but it was in the seventies when it really took off. Painting with Light...

Say what? 

According to the Wall Street Journal and my hair stylist Veronica (plus countless other people I have spoken to in recent weeks), the newest trend in photography is hiring a professional photographer to help take photos during family + romantic vacations. Many people are now leaving the stress of taking photos, charging batteries and having one family member missing from prominent group shots into the hands of a trusted professional. Those photographers are responsible for capturing the essence of the moment (candids, posed, famous monuments, small details) while their clients enjoy their vacation. Many hotels are now offering photographer add-on packages to their clients. Locations range from exotic beach destinations to the cosmopolitan city streets, nationwide and around the world.

LATE AT NIGHT…

Do you ever find yourself just trying to sleep …. and you can’t!!! I think it happens to everyone and really often, it can be caused by stress or maybe you just have too much in your mind but I also noticed that this happens when you are really active, sometimes i finish teaching at 10 pm so… when I get home at eleven I find myself still energetic and I start working on some extra things I need or I just talk with my husband for a while, we watch a  movie or something like that; so, when we finally go to bed i can’t sleep, I know I need to sleep because I start the day early… but I can’t.

What to do? a friend told me to take pills and I did a  couple of times but I don’t like to take them, then I tried with relaxing tea and it works great… but what I know for sure is that the best thing to do to is to pray, communicate with God in the silence of the night amd He brings you peace and little by little you fall sleep. (You don’t fall sleep because praying is boring, you fall sleep because praying helps you empty your thoughts even thought they are not entirely coherent, he understands)

He is with you all the time so…. share with him. There’s nothing most important for him.
